Confession time..like alot of women, I don’t really enjoy my weights workout as much as some other types of exercise (shhh🤫) BUT I really enjoy the benefits!
I did just a 20 minute strength workout yesterday and it’s made such a difference to walking and swimming today – I moved more easily, more efficiently, swam for longer and felt stronger. Basically it felt less effort, and THAT’S my motivation for finding time to do it. As well as all the studies showing that strength training for women over 50, just twice a week, can offset muscle mass losses, increase bone density and improve balance post menopause and into old age.
My 70 year old client this morning picked up her first dumb bells ever, proving It’s never too late to start and 100% worth the investment at any age. Even if it’s not the most enjoyable 20 minutes in your week , it’ll enhance all the things that are and make sure you keep enjoying them for longer.
Get in touch if I can help keep you stronger for longer!
